MON HOBBY |

| The origin of my hobby, It is completely by chance, by arranging papers after death of my
grandmother whom I discovered a small booklet of marriage their having belonged. Its green roofing cardboard toilé was slightly worn and the text inside a calligraphiée writing was quite readable. The name of the native village of my grandfather as well as the name and first name of my back grandfather were thus revealed to me. And it was commancement of the adventure... For this day, I have continued to disentangle with passion the hank of the family genealogy. I initially returned visit to the municipal authorities where it had been born, which gives me quickly and with precision the names and dates of birth of his/her parents: 1829. This date made me dream... Having had more precise details on the villages where lived my ancestors, I went to make a pélerinage on the spot. By discovering paths 1 , wood, the bell-towers, I thought that they had seen them too. I continued my search with the provincial files to discover a line of other ancestors going up until 1605. I due then to initiate me with paleography, forms old writing very difficult to read, and even... with Latin, with a group of sympathetic nerves genealogists amateurs. If the genealogy is an enthralling leisure, I discovered a vocation of it to continue, write the history of my family of it, by gathering some photographs and documents, because to be satisfied to align dates and names loses most of the interest of this search. On the other hand, to discover that an ancestor with manufactured the large cross in oak which is in the church of the village (my father Emile WILMOTTE carpenter in Pâturages) , to find in a statement of chimney 2 (tocage or places has fire) of 1748 " lists heads of household established for the perception of a tax calculated at a rate of the number of chimneys that has their residence " that my ancestor Marc Antoine WILMOT (256) lived street of Bouffioulx with Châtelet , is much more of interest.
Contrary to certain members of the group, very rigorous in their mode of search I prefer to practise without too much method, like a walker without card, which is filled with wonder randomly at the paths. And here that I discovered an interest with the Belgium and French history which hardly impassioned me in class. It is that it had been lived by my dear ancestors from which I came to discover with emotion the signature trembling with the bottom of a parchment. Me here henceforth " in the wind " of the history, and that thanks to the small toilé booklet of marriage... (1) street of
